Senior software engineering for problems that do not fit a template
We deliver software that survives in production — applied AI, critical performance, and legacy modernization. Real code, real observability, justified decisions.
Who we are
ConsoliDados is a senior-led engineering boutique focused on delivering software that survives in production. We operate in the band where most consultancies get stuck: critical performance in distributed systems, AI in production (not eternal PoCs), and incremental legacy modernization.
The experience comes from years architecting distributed systems across healthcare, solar energy, ESG, and European retail, with direct leadership of teams of up to 20 developers across simultaneous projects and responsibility for architecture, hiring, and technical mentoring.
The founder
João "Johnny" Carreiro — Senior Full-Stack Engineer and founder, based in Mogi Guaçu/SP, Brazil. More than 8 years shipping software to production, native Portuguese (C2) and advanced English (C1).
He has architected distributed systems across healthcare, solar energy, ESG, and European retail. Deep command of TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Flutter; hands-on production AI (Llama, LangChain); and production Rust (custom data-migration tooling and Substrate/Polkadot parachain pallets). Microservices, DDD, and Clean Architecture, with experience leading teams of up to roughly 20 people across simultaneous projects.
How we work
The operational focus is the kind of work that requires real code, real observability, and justified decisions — not slide decks. When a European retail-SaaS's sales-reporting module slows to a crawl as report ranges grow (monthly → quarterly → semester) and the slowness starts bleeding into inserts and other internal services, the answer does not come from a slide: it comes from profiling, benchmarking, and a surgical change in production — without the unnecessary full rewrite that looked inevitable.
Diagnosis before proposal. Every engagement starts with a short Discovery Pack that produces high-level architecture, risk mapping, and a qualitative BRL+USD range estimate. No guesswork. The Discovery fee is fully credited toward the project if it moves forward.
Code in production, not slides. Every delivery ships to production with observability wired, rollback prepared, and before/after benchmarks where it matters. We do not run proofs of concept disconnected from the client's reality.
Knowledge transfer is built in. Technical documentation, RFCs, ADRs, and pair programming with the internal team are part of the delivery — not extras.
Honest architecture. DDD, Clean Architecture, and SOLID when the project demands them; a simpler stack when it does not. We apply rigor where it reduces risk, not where it generates bureaucracy.
Positioning: technological freedom as a differentiator
ConsoliDados exists because the market is full of SaaS platforms that lock clients into no-code flows, charge per message or per user, and walk away with the data when you want to leave. Our commitment is the opposite: open source when it makes sense, self-hosted when it matters, auditable code, and infrastructure in your name.
The result is measurable: latency drops, throughput climbs, cost recedes, and the internal team absorbs the knowledge. When we leave, you are autonomous — not stuck.
Sectors in production
Healthcare (clinics), solar and photovoltaic energy, ESG and sustainability, and European retail — including the sales-reporting module of a retail SaaS.
